National Nurse Practitioner (NP) Week is November 10-16, 2025. This year, TVFHT is thrilled to celebrate the impressive impact that these skilled clinicians have made in our communities —especially in the past year.
NPs are trusted providers who deliver comprehensive care. Their wide scope of practice includes diagnosis, treatment, chronic disease management, and health promotion.
Nurse Practitioners at TVFHT are increasingly taking on Most Responsible Provider (MRP) roles, leading patient care across various settings.
TVFHT Nurse Practitioner Clinics have begun to attach people to primary care. They are working towards attaching 500–600 patients per full-time NP.
This is accelerating the reduction of the Health Care Connect waitlist. A big shout-out to the NPs at 460 Springbank, Elgin Community Health Hub and the Health & Homelessness Team. You can read more about this NP as MRP in our annual report.
All NPs are central to expanding access to primary care, especially in underserved areas. Many of our NPs support patients who have never had a provider or haven’t seen one in years. They also provide outreach to vulnerable populations by running flu shot and cancer screening clinics.
Our NPs truly build relationships with the people they serve. They consistently score high in approachability, communication, and respect in patient surveys.
To the 25 NPs working diligently for patients in our communities, thank you!
