Our Team
The talented healthcare professionals are the heart of the mission of Thames Valley Family Health Team (TVFHT). Last year, TVFHT worked hard to support employees as well as the people they serve. The organization focused on wellness, recognition, and making the workplace stronger and more connected.
The staff Wellness Committee organized fun events like the winter social at Boler Mountain, where staff came together to relax and enjoy time connecting with each other. They also led community service projects, including a sock drive and food donations to local charities. These efforts helped bring the team together.
The Health Equity and Cultural Safety Committee helped staff learn more about topics like food insecurity and Indigenous cultural safety. They also supported the community by raising money for people in need and started work on making transportation to care easier.
A major project was action and advocacy for fair pay. A full review of staff wages led to strategic commitment to achieve employee satisfaction with total compensation. This led to a full review and modernization, which helped the organization keep great staff and attract new team members. At the same time, TVFHT spoke up at the provincial level to ask for better funding for primary care. Together, these efforts show how much the Thames Valley Family Health Team cares about patients, each other, and the community. The goal moving forward is to keep building a strong, supportive workplace.
