Paediatric Virtual Urgent Care

Virtual urgent care is available for children/youth (under 18 years of age) with a medical issue that is NOT life threatening but requires urgent attention. Appointments are provided via secure video chat with a nurse practitioner at Thames Valley Family Health Team.

If your child has a primary care provider (e.g. family physician or nurse practitioner), they should be your first point of contact. Virtual urgent care may be an option if your child does not have a primary care provider or care cannot be accessed through them in a timely manner.

All appointment costs are covered with a valid Ontario health card.

Translation support is available in over 200 languages; please let us know that you will need translation services when you book an appointment.

Examples of appropriate medical issues can be found at www.urgentcareontario.ca/child-youth.
