Celebrating our Administrative Professionals

Our organization’s most diverse team is our Administrative Professionals. That includes multiple departments including Operations, Quality, People Services, Communications, Support Services and front-line admin.

This large group of people, each specialist in their field, are integral to how the organization functions.  Their work makes serving patients possible. They handle everything from daily clinic operations to taking complex projects from idea to implementation.

Thames Valley FHT spans across a large geographic area with multiple sites. As such, there needs to be excellent systems, policies, and programs in place. As we continue to grow our portfolio of programs and services, we will consistently rely on these groups of strategic thinkers who are the backbone of our organization.

Administrative Professionals Day is April 22. This day, and all others, we celebrate all the Administrative Professionals who make our work possible.

Success for the team, success for the Org

Primary Care is an ever-evolving industry. And the past year has seen explosive growth and changes within Thames Valley Family Health Team.

Our teams of administrative professionals consistently strengthen the support and standardization between teams. This increases coordination and operational efficiency.  In addition, they facilitate timely implementation of operational changes while providing responsive, adaptive support to clinical teams.

In fact, none of the front-facing services we provide to the community would be possible without the support of administrative professionals.

Here are a few of the key wins across various administrative departments:

Quality

Our Quality department turns vast amounts of data into meaningful insights that drive better care and decision-making.

They support with expansion work including process support for new attachment and meaningful data collection that makes expansion possible.

We value their commitment to shared system level resources. This looks like facilitating QI initiatives, reporting to other organizations and ongoing efforts to expand shadow coding across system partners.

Team Administrators /Patient Care Assistant

The Team Administrators and Patient Care Assistants at TVFHT offer critical involvement in operationalizing change. They support transitions that strengthen how we serve our patients and partners and allow us to expand the community members we serve.

During the past year, we have seen them pivot and absorb shifting priorities during the IPCT/PCAT expansion while maintaining day-to-day excellence.

The provide key contributions to critical work such as new attachment, HRM discharge, and expanding technologies.

Executive Admin

The Executive Administrators are the backbone of the management team. They provide ongoing support in the critical work of expanding the leadership team.

These skilled professionals manage vastly changing and highly complex and competing priorities. This team also provides critical refinement of board and governance processes.

Operations Administrative Staff

The Operations admin team is responsible for the effective management of significant and ongoing growth.  They provide critical support to frontline professionals as well as continually refine processes such as recruitment pathways.

Their work is wide reaching. From the establishment of new sites and effective onboarding of team members, to change and project management of ongoing expansion initiatives.

These skilled team-players maintain the backbone framework of the organization that all staff rely on.

Today and every day, we offer our deep appreciation for the administrative professionals at TVFHT. Your efforts fuel the work of others and bring strength and resilience to the organization. Thank you for your adaptability, commitment, focus and leadership.
